Many years ago, a young girl
growing up in Texas dreamt
of owning her own horse. With
her father in the Air Force,
that was an impossible dream,
so she read every book about
horses she could find. The
wonder of The Black Stallion
series captured her heart,
and a love of the Arabian
horse began that lasts to
this day.
That
young girl grew
up, married a
young man from
Virginia who delighted
that young woman
with an incredible
graduation present:
a purebred Arabian
mare.
From the gift of that one
mare grew the concept of
breeding and raising Arabian
horses. Daughters of Bold
Fire, Khemosabi, Aladdinn,
and Fire Chief found a new
home at Whisana Farm. The
wonderful Bay el Bey son,
Cinco Bey, sired many of
the babies that would begin
their lives at the farm
and go on to major wins.
After
Cinco passed away, the Fergusons
looked to outside
stallions such as
Padrons Psyche, Jullyen
el Jamaal, and now
Marwan al Shaqab.
These breedings resulted
in foals who have
been outstanding when
bred to their beloved
mares, TAF Pritza
and WF Jasmine, both
of whom are champions.
These mares
and their offspring
reside on forty
acres of beautiful
rolling land
outside Richmond,
VA. The facility
has 26 stalls,
a covered area
and fenced and
crossed fenced
pastures. Surrounded
by large crop
producing farms,
Whisana Farm
is a quiet,
private respite
from the outside
world.
You are cordially invited
to visit us at our farm
and meet our wonderful mares
and their babies.
Whisana Farm
is located in
cental Virginia,
just minutes
from I95 and
I64, and within
a short distance
from Richmond
International
Airport. Our
primary goal
is to breed
Arabians who
are not only
beautiful in
the halter ring,
but who also
stand out in
the performance
arena.
We consider
ourselves fortunate
to have bred
Whisana Khelsea,
who was the
1994 Western
pleasure futurity
champion – unanimous. Khelsea
was a halter
champion as
well.
WF Jasmine
also has done
very well, with
multiple class
A championships,
as well as being
an East Coast
Champion mare,
Region 7 champion
mare, and Canadian
Top Ten Mare.
While we are
not the breeders
of TAF Pritza,
we feel fortunate
to be her owners.
Pritza was National
Champion AOTH
Mare in 1998,
as well as 1996
Canadian Reserve
Champion Mare. Pritza
has also been
top ten at US
and Canada each
time she was
shown.
